Financial Benefits:

University of Birmingham Excellence Scholarship is a Partially Funded award for Non-EU Students to get a Bachelor’s Degree or Masters Degree from University of Birmingham. This scholarship is divided into two parts

  • Achievement scholarship worth is of £1,500
  • The excellent scholarship worth is £3,000
  • £10,000 for Masters Degree Students


Achievement Scholarships are worth £1,500 and are awarded to those who achieve A*AA at A level or equivalent. Excellence Scholarships are worth £3,000 and are awarded to those who achieve A*A*A at A level or equivalent. To retain the First Class Scholarship, students must continue to perform at first class level – i.e they must achieve an average mark of at least 70% at the end of each year.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Students with any Nationality (Non-EU) are eligible for the award.
  • Subjects: Undergraduate degree program in chemical engineering
  • Eligibility Criteria: To qualify for this opportunity, you need to meet the criteria:
    • Be classed as Overseas for fee purposes
    • Have made a program in chemical engineering their firm choice.
  • Documents: Please provide the following documents together with the application for admission: Pre-qualification degree, copies of academic transcripts and award, certificates of English language proficiency, a statement, and a copy of passport.
  • Admission Requirements: To be enlisted for a bachelor’s program, you must have a diploma or certification of high school.
  • Language Requirement: The University requires you to have the following level of English proficiency: TOEFL with 72 with band scores of Reading 18, Writing 17, Listening 17, Speaking 20 for undergraduate.
