Eligibility Criteria:

  • Currently pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in science, technology, engineering or mathematics (STEM) in a topic relevant to NASA’s mission priorities.
  • Maintaining high academic standing.
  • Demonstrating an active interest in the US space program.

2) NASA High School and College Students Internships:

  • Applicants for this internship must be U.S. Citizens and meet a minimum 3.0 GPA requirement.
  • These paid internships are offered across NASA facilities in fall, spring, and summer sessions.
  • One application is viewed agency-wide.
  • OSTEM interns may receive a stipend based on academic level and session length.
  • Prior experience is not required.
  • Opportunities are available at the high school, undergraduate, graduate, and educator levels.
  • NASA also sponsors interns at the Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL) in California.

Pathways Internship Program prepares you for a career at NASA and offers a direct pipeline to full-time employment at NASA upon graduation.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Must be a US citizen
  • Age must be more than 16 Years
  • Be enrolled or accepted for enrollment on at least a half-time basis in an accredited educational institution and maintain enrollment at least half time as defined by the institution;
  • Be pursuing a degree or certificate;
  • Currently have and maintain a cumulative 2.9 grade point average on a 4.0 scale;
  • Be able to complete at least 640 hours of work prior to completing your degree/certificate requirements; and
  • Required to sign a Pathways Participant Agreement.
  • Required to undergo a pre-employment background investigation
  • Male applicants born after December 31, 1959
  • Vacancies also require that applicants be available to begin work between a predetermined timeframe
