EMI Essay Competition List of Shortlisted Candidates 2020

2020 Excellent Minds Initiative (EMI) Essay Competition List of Shortlisted Candidates (Finalist) & Award Ceremony Date: Excellent Minds Initiative (EMI) Full List of Six (6) Shortlisted Candidates for Finalist and Award Ceremony Date.

The Excellent Minds Initiative is delighted to announce the six (6)  shortlisted candidates for the 2020 Excellent Minds National Essay Competition Finals. We received an overwhelming number of entries from every part of the country, and most of the submissions were of a very high quality, and it took our panel of five examiners, several weeks to assess all the entries from the first round of assessment to the  interview stage.

This year’s final is scheduled to hold on Saturday, 7 November 2020 at 7.00PM (WAT) via Zoom, where the finalists will present to a virtual audience on what their essay idea is and why it is important in plain language for three minutes, using only a single PowerPoint to pitch  their idea and tell their story. We have tagged this virtual final, the 3 minutes’ essay final (3MEF).

The pandemic and its aftermath did force us to take profound measures regarding this year’s finals, while life in Nigeria is gradually shifting back to normal from COVID-19, the uncertainty about the
evolving nationwide protest against police brutality still persists, and this is why we have decided to move the 2020 Excellent Minds Essay Finals/Award Ceremony to Zoom.
